FAQ - 3D Errors & Warnings

1.     ERROR - Windows or shades are not contained within their wall and have been omitted from the analysis model

2.     ERROR - A space on one floor intersects with a space of another floor.

3.     ERROR - An exposed null floor is adjacent to a zoned space.

4.     ERROR - the heights of this wall differ on each side and are causing an error when creating the internal and exposed parts.

5.     ERROR - Windows cannot be placed in null elements.

6.     ERROR - Shades cannot be placed in non-null elements

7.     WARNING - Space has a non-planar floor. The floor of this space will be at the floor level.

8.     WARNING - Space has no internal height - the inside upper surface of the floor is higher than the inside lower surface of the ceiling

9.     WARNING - Building element has no width.

10. WARNING - A null element is partially exposed due to a mismatch of heights. The building element “null-exposed" has been used

11. WARNING - A null floor is partially exposed in the analysis model. The building element "null-floor-exposed" has been used.

12. WARNING - A null ceiling is partially exposed in the analysis model. The building element "null-ceiling-exposed" has been used.

13. WARNING - A null element adjacent to a zoned space is partially exposed due to a mismatch of heights. The building element "null-exposed" has been used.

14. WARNING - A null floor, adjacent to a zoned space, is partially exposed. The building element "null-floor-exposed" has been used.

15. WARNING - A null ceiling, adjacent to a zoned space, is partially exposed. The building element "null-ceiling-exposed" has been used.

16. WARNING - A null element between an unzoned space and a zoned space. The building element "null-to-unzoned" has been used.

17. WARNING - A null ceiling and null floor is between an unzoned space and a zoned space. The building element "null-floor-ceiling-to unzoned" has been used

18. WARNING - A null element between an unzoned space and a zoned space. The building element "null element name-to-unzoned" has been used.

19. WARNING - An exposed sloping null floor is adjacent to a zoned space.

20. WARNING - An exposed null ceiling is adjacent to a zoned space.

21. WARNING - A null floor has been merged with a ceiling. A building element "null-floor/........" has been used.

22. WARNING - A null ceiling has been merged with a floor. A building element "........./null-ceiling" has been used.

23. WARNING - CHECK - if these floor/ceilings overlap and are flagged incorrectly as "exposed" i.e. should be "linked" or "internal" they may need to be redrawn to align them correctly.

24. WARNING - CHECK - these walls could not be "linked" together as they are not exactly aligned and will be "exposed".

25. WARNING - Internal Shading is not calculated unless exposed and adjacent to zoned space.

26. WARNING - A window has been placed in a "ground" surface.

27. WARNING - A null element is partially exposed due to a mismatch of heights. The building element “null element name-exposed" has been used.

28. WARNING - A null element, adjacent to a zoned space, is partially exposed due to a mismatch of heights. The building element "null element name-exposed" has been used.

29. WARNING - An exposed null element is adjacent to a zoned space.

30. WARNING - Space requires an external zone to be assigned

31. WARNING - Space requires a non-external zone to be assigned
