Building Filter

On the Tree View, click on the '+' symbol for the Output Filters folder, and then select one of the pre-defined filters or click on one that you have created yourself. On the screen you will now be able to tick various options and decide upon what sort of information that you want to be able to see when you view the results. The options have been grouped into three different areas. You can see results for the building, which will give you the total loads over all zones and will cover variables such as diffuse radiation, cloud cover, and external temperature. You can also filter the results by zones, and by surfaces. This topic will now describe the options from which you can select with respect to the BUILDING FILTER.

This section contains the total loads over all zones which have been output, and the parameters for outside conditions.

Heating Profile

The total heating load over all outputted zones in the building, irrespective of output selection. It is displayed in Watts.

Cooling Profile

The total cooling load over all outputted zones in the building, irrespective of output selection. It is displayed in Watts.

Latent Addition Profile

The latent addition load over all outputted zones in the building, irrespective of output selection. It is displayed in Watts.

Latent Removal Profile

The latent removal load over all outputted zones in the building, irrespective of output selection. It is displayed in Watts.

Global Radiation

Total solar radiation intensity on a horizontal plane measured in Watts per square metre.

Diffuse Radiation

Diffuse sky radiation intensity on a horizontal plane measured in Watts per square metre.

Cloud Cover

A number varying from 0 for a clear sky to 1 for overcast conditions.

External Temperature

The outside dry bulb air temperature as read from the model's weather data. It is displayed in degrees centigrade.

External Humidity

The outside's relative humidity as read from the model's weather data. It is displayed as a percentage.

Wind Speed

The wind speed measured in metres per second at a height of 10 meters above the ground

Wind Direction

The direction from which the wind blows (degrees east of north).
