Flow Arrows
- Flow arrows may only be shown for surfaces that had aperture data
output, either through having a surface output specification with
the Aperture Data box checked, or through the simulation being carried
out with the Output Aperture Data box checked. For flow arrows to
be shown, the surfaces must be in the selected Output Selection, and
not hidden via graphical options (e.g. if Show Ceilings is unchecked,
ceiling surfaces and their corresponding flow arrows will not be shown).
- Outward flow will be shown in red, inward flow will be shown in
blue. This is relative to the surface's parent zone.
- Flow arrows are shown projecting at right angles to a surface.
This is meant to give a general indication of air flow, not to be
taken literally.
- Depending on size and scale of flow arrows, they may protrude through
other surfaces. This does not mean that the air is flowing through
them. The arrows show magnitude, not true movement.
- Flow arrows are shown projecting from the approximate midpoint
of their parent surface. In some situations (for example where a window
pane and frame are both set to open) this may mean that multiple arrows
originate from the same point. This is currently unavoidable. It is
recommended that you pay attention to the surface number listed on
the tooltip. Remember, surface tooltips show the same flow data as
displayed by arrows.
